JASON ROWE
Jason fell in love with the 5Rhythms fifteen years ago. He trained with Gabrielle Roth becoming an Accredited teacher in 2011. Jason holds weekly open classes, regular workshops and teaches out in the wider dancing community across the UK and Internationally. He lives in London with his partner, daughter and cat.

INTERVIEW WITH JASON
Would you be keen to describe more about the journey that took you to being a full-time 5R teacher? Why have you decided to take this path and what was the breakpoint(s) when you knew „this is it“?
I found the 5Rhythms in 2003 and immediately fell in love with the practice. I danced in classes as much as I could and started to take longer workshops. I wondered after a few years if I wanted to become a teacher and journeyed to the West Coast to dance with Gabrielle Roth. There I found my answer. It wasn’t cerebral. It was a visceral embodied experience that spoke from my insides through the coastal landscape and into the car I was travelling in right to my core. A dissolving of the outside and inside of being.
You have daily commitment to the dancing tribe in the UK where you hold weekly classes. You are also holding workshops for dancing tribes in several countries. Across Europe you are in a position of a mentor to several students on their dancing path. What is the role of service in your life? Who/what do you serve and why?
I danced into the core maps of the 5Rhythms practice: Waves, Heartbeat, Cycles & Mirrors and experienced them as a complete, integrative, transformative and wholesome healing mandala. Surrendering to their continual teachings it becomes a blessing to be with others on the same path. Service simply occurs. Organically.
‘Coming Home’ – what does it mean to you and why do you think this theme is worth further exploration?
I’m really excited about offering this workshop in Prague. As humans we often externalize our living experience through cultural conditioning and move away from who we really are. Is there anything you´d like to add or say to our tribe here?
It has been an utter blessing to teach in the Czech Republic over the last three and half years and witness the continued evolution of the 5Rhythms dancing tribe. There is a vibrancy and humility on the dance floors that touches my heart. I look forward to moving amongst you in person this Winter.
